Requisitions over £10k Process

What is required when creating requisitions for requirements over £10K

Two Quotations

Where 2 quotations have been obtained and the most economically advantageous (cheapest) has been used the Purchase Order is fully compliant,  so ensure that both quotations are attached to the requisition when it is created.

Where 2 Quotations have been obtained and the more expensive requirement has been selected, you will need to work with the Procurement Sourcing Lead for your area as a recommendation report will be required, explaining why the more expensive option has been chosen,  prior to the PO becoming fully compliant.  Both quotations plus the recommendation report should be attached to the requisition when it is created.

Waivers

Only when it has been confirmed that there is no competitive route to market should a waiver be used, if the value is over £25K a recommendation report is still required and will need to be produced by the relevant procurement sourcing lead.

Prior to raising the requisition ensure that you have all the relevant compliance documents and attach them to the requisition when it created.  Where possible all compliance documents should be fully approved and signed prior to raising the requisition.

£25K and above

The Procurement Sourcing team must be engaged and they will explain the procurement process to be followed for your individual requirement.   A recommendation report must be completed for all requirements over £25K and should be fully approved and signed prior to awarding the contract or raising a Purchase Order,  please ensure that your sourcing lead provides you  with fully approved and signed compliance documentation, which should then attached to the requisition when it is created.
