Requisitions over £10k Requirements

ALL REQUISITIONS OVER £10K REQUIRE COMPLIANCE TO PCR AND THE TRUST SFI's

Procurement are required to follow Public Contract Regulations (a set of regulations that implement the EC public procurement requirements into English law) and the Trust Standing Financial Instructions (SFIs)

These SFIs detail the financial responsibilities, policies and procedures adopted by the Trust. They are designed to ensure that the Trust's financial transactions are carried out in accordance with the law and with Government policy to achieve probity, accuracy, economy, efficiency and effectiveness. 

How many quotations and when should Procurement be engaged?

£10,000 - £24,999  - What compliance is required?

Two Quotations 

Where 2 quotations have been obtained and the most economically advantageous (cheapest) has been used the Purchase Order is fully compliant 

Or 

Where 2 Quotations have been obtained and the more expensive requirement has been selected, a recommendation report will be required prior to the PO becoming fully compliant.

Waivers

Only when it has been confirmed that there is no competitive route to market should a waiver be used

£25K and above

The Procurement Sourcing team must be engaged and they will explain the procurement process to be followed for your individual requirement.
